DEKA fractional CO₂ laser technology uses a 10,600 nm CO₂ laser source to deliver controlled microscopic columns of energy into targeted tissue. By treating a fraction of the skin at a time, the technology is designed to stimulate tissue renewal and collagen remodeling while leaving surrounding areas available to support healing.
Depending on the DEKA platform, scanner and handpiece configuration, CO₂ technology can be used across aesthetic dermatology, scar treatment and selected gynecological or intimate-health applications.
In aesthetic and dermatological practice, fractional CO₂ technology may be used to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture, enlarged-looking pores, sun-damaged skin and selected pigmentation concerns, as well as acne, surgical and other scars. DEKA also offers dedicated scanning technology for deeper scar remodeling.
The CO₂ laser emits energy at 10,600 nm. Fractional scanning systems divide that energy into controlled microscopic treatment zones rather than treating the entire surface uniformly. The physician can adjust parameters such as energy, density, pulse characteristics, scan pattern and treatment depth according to the indication, treatment area and patient.
The controlled thermal and ablative effect initiates a healing response that supports resurfacing and collagen remodeling. Treatment intensity can vary substantially, from lighter resurfacing approaches to deeper treatments requiring more recovery time.
| Technology | Fractional CO₂ laser |
| Wavelength | 10,600 nm |
| Main uses | Skin resurfacing • Texture • Fine lines • Scars • Selected pigmentation concerns |
| Treatment time | Varies according to treatment area and intensity |
| Anaesthesia | May require topical or local anaesthesia depending on treatment intensity |
| Downtime | Typically several days; varies significantly with treatment depth and settings |
| Sessions | Personalized following consultation |
| Results | Progressive improvement as the skin heals and collagen remodels |
| Treatment areas | Face and selected body areas; intimate-health applications require dedicated configuration and assessment |
Because fractional CO₂ treatment can be performed at different intensities, there is no single downtime or session number that applies to every patient. A lighter treatment may have a shorter recovery period, while more intensive resurfacing can require a longer healing period.
Selected DEKA CO₂ platforms and dedicated gynecological applicators extend fractional CO₂ technology beyond dermatology into women’s intimate health. DEKA’s MonaLisa Touch® technology delivers controlled fractional CO₂ energy to vaginal tissue with the aim of stimulating tissue and collagen regeneration.
Depending on the specific DEKA platform, configuration, local approved indications and medical assessment, gynecological applications may include management of vulvovaginal atrophy / genitourinary syndrome of menopause and associated symptoms such as vaginal dryness, itching, burning and discomfort or pain during intercourse. Certain DEKA configurations also include dedicated applicators intended for urinary-incontinence applications.
Important: Intimate-health treatment should only be offered after assessment by an appropriately qualified gynecology clinician. Indications, contraindications, device configuration and regulatory approvals should be confirmed before treatment.
Comfort and recovery depend on the treatment area and intensity. Facial fractional CO₂ resurfacing may involve temporary redness, swelling, sensitivity, peeling or crusting during healing. More intensive settings generally produce more downtime. Your Seven Dimensions clinician should provide individualized pre-treatment and aftercare instructions.
The number of sessions is personalized. Some resurfacing goals may be addressed with a single more intensive treatment, while other concerns may be treated through a series of sessions. Scar treatments and gynecological applications follow protocols based on the indication, device configuration and individual clinical assessment.
Early changes become visible as the treated area heals. Improvements in texture and overall skin quality may continue progressively as collagen remodeling develops over the following weeks and months. The degree and timing of improvement vary according to treatment intensity, indication and individual healing response.
Advanced technology. Personalized treatment. Exceptional standards of care.
At Seven Dimensions, every DEKA CO₂ treatment begins with an individual medical assessment. Treatment settings, depth, density and number of sessions are selected according to the treatment area, skin condition and clinical goals.
A Healthier You, In Every Dimension.
