Zoom Teeth Whitening – Helping You Put Your Best Smile Forward

Zoom Teeth Whitening

Zoom Teeth Whitening

No matter how charming your personality is or how good-looking you are, yellow or discolored teeth can take down your impressions to quite a few notches. Most of us have been there. We have had our fair share of dental appearance issues that have led to embarrassing moments, and we want to forget that as much as possible. But, getting a set of pearly white teeth isn’t wishful thinking anymore. With the advancement in medicine and technology, it is just a visit to a clinic away.

Whitening your teeth has never been so simple, convenient, and effective as it has been with Zoom Teeth Whitening. This is what we are going to take a deep dive into. Let’s find out what it is all about.

What is Zoom Teeth Whitening?

One of the safest, fastest, and most effective dental solutions in today’s time, the Zoom Teeth Whitening is a bleaching process that helps in lightening discoloration of dentin and enamel. It makes use of a whitening gel consisting of hydrogen peroxide that gets oxidized when kept under a specialized WhiteSpeed blue LED lamp known as the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp.

Consultation & Treatment Planning

As with any other medical procedure, taking precautions and expert’s advice before undergoing Zoom Teeth Whitening is crucial for safeguarding your dental health.

Your first order of business is to find and locate a certified dental clinic that provides the said teeth whitening service. Being a reputed medical institution, we, at 7DMC, employ the highly regarded Philips original teeth whitening kit for conducting this procedure.

This teeth whitening kit by Phillips has been hailed as one of the best in the business by dental experts around the globe for its precision and high-quality performance. Containing Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP), it not only protects your enamel but also reduces sensitivity, thereby, getting rid of all the tingling sensations you feel when you take a scoop of your favorite ice-cream sundae. Besides, Phillips teeth whitening kit also adds a coat of luster to your teeth, giving you a sparkling, white set of teeth to have that beautiful smile.

Before the treatment, a dental expert will conduct an in-depth examination of your teeth and gums to check the status of their health, which will give them an idea of your oral hygiene history, and will help them plan the procedure accordingly.

It should be noted that Zoom teeth whitening is not recommended for children below 13 years of age and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. People with sensitive teeth should refrain from this process as well. Children can keep their teeth shining and gums healthy by following our dental care tips for kids.

Take a look at what the renowned dentist, Dr. Roaa Talal has to say about the Zoom Teeth Whitening treatment provided at 7DMC.

Procedure

The entire process of Zoom teeth whitening takes around 45 minutes, which is broken down in three slots of 15 minutes.

At the beginning of the process, your lips and gums will be covered to ensure that only your teeth are exposed to the light. This is followed by placing cotton balls and cheek retractors inside your oral cavity which will help in keeping it open.

Next, a formulated hydrogen peroxide gel will be applied to the surface of your teeth and it will be exposed to the proprietary lamp that we mentioned above. The light will break down the gel which in turn, will dissolve pellicle, which is a thin layer that covers your teeth.

After this, oxygen will be released that will enter your enamel and dentin to bleach out the staining substances from your teeth. This will continue for 15 minutes after which the light will be turned off. After a short break, a fresh new coat of hydrogen peroxide gel will be applied and the same procedure will be repeated until three sessions are completed.

You might experience “zinger” like pains around the nerves of your teeth during the process. This pain may even continue to bother you after the treatment, which is why many patients are given pain-relievers. If pain persists during the procedure, make sure you let the medical personnel know about it

In the end, a special fluoride gel will be applied to your teeth to minimize sensitivity. You will also be given a take-home kit that will help you take proper care of your teeth after undergoing the treatment.

After Care

Apart from the take-home kit that you will be given to maintain the health of your teeth, there are some other aftercare steps that you need to follow to reap the maximum benefit out of this medical procedure.

The 48 hours following the treatment will be detrimental to how long the results of this treatment will last. Since this process will remove the pellicle (which serves as a protective layer around your teeth) from your teeth, you will be more vulnerable to stains. Therefore, in this time-window, you need to be extremely cautious and avoid any colored food.

The rule of thumb is that if the food you are about to consume leaves stain marks on a white T-shirt, then it will do the same to your teeth. So, avoid foods such as tomatoes, berries, chocolates, turmeric, alongside beverages like tea, coffee, wine, or even condiments.

Remember, Zoom teeth whitening is not a permanent solution. You need to take proper care of your oral health to increase the longevity of the process. This involves brushing twice and flossing once daily to get rid of plaques. Also, don’t forget to have an oral examination every six months.

Summary

Zoom teeth whitening, when clubbed with responsible dental care habits can go a long way in giving you the confident smile that you always dreamt of. Having a great first impression is extremely vital. So, book your appointment for Zoom teeth whitening today with our dental clinic in Dubai and flaunt that million-dollar smile of yours unabashedly.
